RaspberryPi.org is the official home of all things Raspberry Pi and the foundation.

Operating system downloads are also available from the Raspberry Pi foundation.

When you have your Raspberry Pi SD card with the disk image written to it, you are probably going to want to repartition it to reclaim any unused space on the card. I found the tutorial here on Gordon’s Projects very useful and it worked for me.
